Hello. We have a basement that is ~ 800 SQFT. The basement is dry and we don't have any water intrusion issues. The stairway from the first floor is situated in the middle / center of the basement. You can also enter the basement from a door out to the driveway. We want to convert the area into a safe and functional play area for our two children. The project scope is installing finished walls and a ceiling. We'd also like to install a small 1/2 bathroom if that is feasible. Our goal is to have this project completed by mid-November. Hello, Our basement (approx. 990 sq. ft.) needs a full renovation. It was originally a dog grooming business and we would like to renovate it into a basement living room with a new bathroom, relocate laundry, and consider options to convert current exterior door entry into a sliding glass door. We had over 700sqft of our basement finished with TBF. They were the first and only quote we received. The second company we called for a quote basically didn’t want to come out after we had told then we met with TBF. The lady was defensive & short when we asked questions about their system - big turn off!Our Sales rep, Jim, was very thorough. He worked with our budget to get us what we were looking for.Our project manager, Tim, was very responsive & addressed all of our concerns, small or big! Contractors were friendly & professional. Workmanship is beautiful, a lot of compliments from family & friends. The bulk of project was completed within 4 weeks & entire project completed within estimated time frame of 8 weeks.The only thing I wish we had done differently was to make the door to the unfinished area slightly larger. I believe is standard size but it is hard to fit some of the bigger objects/furniture through. This is something we had not thought of until we began moving stuff back in (especially since there is a support beam just beyond it). But given all the “stuff” going on in the ceiling (pipes, HVAC etc) not sure a bigger door would have been possible. But just something you may want to keep in mind...This was not a cheap project - but as we say,“Good work ain’t cheap & cheap work ain’t good!” I feel good knowing there won’t be any mold growing on our walls etc. We will definitely consider them for future renovations. I think what I liked about them the most was that they never seemed agitated with our requests/concerns & made sure we were happy with our new space. Hope this is helpful!

A Basement in a New Home in Greenland

A family just bought a home in Greenland and is looking to get an estimate to finish their walk-out basement. The basement is nearly 1400 square feet, making it a larder job. When speaking with any homeowner, it's important to explain the quality of our basement finishing system over the traditional drywall finish. While they recognized that ours was a longer-lasting basement finishing product, they decided to finish the space themselves using studs and drywall.

Why We Don't Use Drywall

A man wanted two rooms finished in his basement in Greenland, New Hampshire. He was very handy and started construction himself years ago. However, he began this using traditional drywall construction. When we met with him, we discussed that we don't use drywall in our construction process. This is because we warranty all of our work and want to use products we're confident in. When drywall becomes wet, it absorbs water and can be completely ruined. The materials we use are inorganic and don't grow mold or mildew. Because of this difference, we ultimately didn't work together, and the homeowner chose to finish the basement himself.

A Finished Basement in Greenland

A couple owns a few properties around New England and are currently having their basement finished in their Greenland, New Hampshire home. It was an 800-square-foot space, and they used our EverLast paintable wall system in white around the perimeter.
