Repairing Water Damage from Burst Pipe Leads to Brand New Basement!
Challenge
These homeowners down the road from Blackdog had us at the front of their mind when they wanted someone to come for their basement needs, but they surely wish they didn’t have to call anybody at all. Unfortunately for them, a pipe burst in their basement, which caused a lot of water damage and ruined a lot of their belongings. They wanted TBF to come in and remedy the situation - repair the water damage, and update some of their furnishings. TBF was happy to help, and got right to work for these hometown homeowners!
Solution
The pressing issue in this basement had to be addressed first. The pipe was sealed up, and with the installation of a linen drop ceiling they were blocked from view while maintaining ease of access for future repairs if necessary. As for the walls, a new stylish egress window was installed in the TV room. The homeowners have a hunch it might become a bedroom in the future, and while TBF was there they took advantage of our skills and brought in some much-needed natural light to the space. To finish around it we installed Paintable wall panels to give it a nice touch. We replaced the ruined carpet with eye-catching dark walnut Elite plank flooring. Weirdly enough, these homeowners might be glad their pipe burst in the end - their new space looks fantastic!
