A Man Cave in Pelham
Challenge
A homeowner in Pelham, New Hampshire, is creating an apartment and man cave in his basement, which his son will move into. The project features a bedroom, a large main room, including a wet bar and snack kitchen, and a beautiful full bathroom. The space is a total of 1,350 square feet and will include exciting elements like a large shower and improved duct work throughout.
Solution
This was a larger project and involved a complete tear-out before we could begin the new space. After the framing was completed, we began the project by installing a paintable wall system. Then, we installed additional windows to bring more light into the space and recessed LED lighting throughout. For the stairs leading up to the first floor, we installed an open oak railing, finished oak treads, and a wall-mounted handrail. After this was complete, we were able to take the next step and install the kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanity, and bathroom shower tile. Finally, we installed a SaniDry XP to keep the space comfortable and the humidity low.
