A Large Space in Portsmouth
Challenge
Homeowners in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, contacted us earlier in the year. They have been looking into finishing their space for almost a year and would like to create a space that can be used as a gym and play area for the kids. When we first met, they mentioned having had another company come out to see them a year ago, but that the person who came out was very pushy. We assured them that wasn't how we operated as a business and are more concerned about informing customers about their options. Once we proved this was accurate, the homeowners were relieved, and we could move forward with the process.
Solution
This basement had a total of 1,600 square feet and was on the larger side of the projects we completed. To begin the process, we used our paintable wall system and installed composite shelving across a half wall for storage. We replaced the existing doors with 6-panel interior doors and nickel doorknobs. Across the ceiling, we used our linen ceiling tiles and added recessed LED lights. We installed electrical baseboard heat to keep the space warm and used our popular ThermalDry Elite plank flooring in grey. This resulted in a gorgeous, spacious basement for the whole family to use.
