A Basement for Rest and Relaxation
Challenge
A couple in Billerica, Massachusetts, bought their home three years ago and just got a new puppy. With several young kids in the house as well, they’re looking to expand the space they have instead of buying a new home. When we first evaluated the unfinished basement, we found the plumbing was already set up for a bathroom to be installed if needed. This is great as it saves the homeowner an expense and will speed the project along. When the house was built, they also installed a framework for basement finishing, which we will be replacing with our system.
Solution
We finished a majority of the basement, including a new exterior door for the family to use to access their pool. The pool is located in the backyard, making it more convenient to make a basement entrance than to go around the house every time they use it. As the plumbing was already set up, adding a bathroom was fairly simple. We also added a gym, family room, and office space. The family is very excited to have this space to use this summer and for future summers to come.
