Flooding Fixes
Challenge
A wonderful woman we met at one of our trade shows recently bought the home she grew up in. She lives at home with her two children. Unfortunately, she had an incident recently where her large fish tank broke and caused significant flooding in the basement. This caused significant warping in the flooring, and she would like to have it redone. When we originally saw her space, we discussed the possibility of mold behind her baseboards and plaster walls. This would mean significantly more work, but we have addressed it in detail.
Solution
We planned to refinish the flooring in the basement, beginning by carefully removing the baseboard and wall for reinstallation. This also included the removal of the tile in front of their fireplace, which would be replaced by their chosen flooring. They chose our Elite Plank light pecan flooring to avoid further water damage. They are made of inorganic materials that will never mold or mildew, and they can be removed and replaced individually. This resulted in beautiful new flooring that will last.
