A Milford Basement Studio
Challenge
Challenge: A family in Milford, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for five years. Their children are growing up, and they would like to give them more space to play inside the house. They also plan to create a studio space for one of the homeowners. The homeowners began to finish it but stopped once they realized the size of the job they were looking at. Now, they need to work with professionals to finish the job they started.
Solution
We began the project by framing an opening between the mud room and game room areas. We installed a Dutch door between the rooms and a SaniDry XP in the closet beneath the stairs. The family wanted a larger flooring selection and chose flooring from Cardoza flooring. We also added a short partition wall along the studio wall, which will include storage shelves and bins.
