A Finished Basement is Brewing
Challenge
A couple has a home in Wenham, Massachusetts. Their children recently moved out of the house, and they’ve begun to enjoy brewing beer. They have an unfinished basement, and they would like to finish it to have a brewing area, tasting area, bar, and entertainment area. The space is fairly large, and they would also like to add in a half bathroom and two additional sinks.
Solution
We began remodeling by replacing the exterior door that went from the basement to the garage, installing two new windows, and three interior doors. To keep the area dry, we installed a SaniDry system in the utility area and our inorganic EverLast vinyl wall system. We used mill creek natural oak flooring and recessed can lights. We also added our linen ceiling system and electric baseboard heating. This resulted in a classic, beautiful space for brewing beer and entertaining.
