A Gym for the Parents and Playroom for the Kids
Challenge
A nice young couple live in a beautiful home in Fremont, New Hampshire. They have two young children who would like more space to play during the day. Their basement is large but unfinished, and because the wife stays home during the day, she would like to have an office made. As they have space for a third room, they’d also like to fit in a home gym. There is a lot of preexisting wood shelving that will need to be moved before this process begins.
Solution
We created three rooms to finish the basement. We used our EverLast vinyl wall system in white around the perimeter of each room and added our linen ceiling tiles. We used recessed can lights in each room and added a playroom, gym, office, and storage space. We moved the wood shelving and used white balusters and a beech handrail on their stairs. We also added electric baseboard heat, decorative post surrounds, and a sanitary system to keep the room warm and comfortable.
