An In-Law Apartment in Ipswich
Challenge
Challenge: A woman in Ipswich is planning to have her parents move in with her. They would like to create a full in-law suite featuring a bedroom, living room, bathroom, office area, and kitchenette. This will take a large transformation as they need to install new windows, upgrade their sump pump, and move their washer and dryer. They also have a low ceiling, which means we need to make sure we preserve as much height as possible when we finish the space.
Solution
Solution: We started this project by moving the washer and dryer setup and upgrading the windows to egress with Rockwell window wells. We added a kitchenette with a sink and painted the entire ceiling black to save as much height as possible. We used our everlast vinyl wall panels for the perimeter, and in the bathroom, we added all Kohler appliances. Once we finished the electrical work, the resulting space was beautiful, accessible, and comfortable for the homeowner and her parents.
