From Asbestos to Absolutely Stunning
Challenge
A young couple in Belmont have two sons. They have a basement needing a lot of repair before it can be finished. They feel very strongly about finishing their basement, and since initially meeting with Total Basement Finishing, they have been saving for over a year to finish it. Now, ready to complete this project, the couple has contacted us again.
Solution
The basement had a significant asbestos problem, which needed to be gutted entirely before we could begin the project. They had an existing bathroom, which had existing plumbing. We expanded the existing bathroom without having to change the original plumbing. We installed three shelves in a small storage room, added oak treads, and a white-paneled wall system into the entire space. We used natural Oak MillCreek flooring and installed a new linen ceiling. This resulted in a safe, clean, and dry space for the entire family.
