Gutting An Asbestos Filled Basement To Create a Beautiful Finished Space

Challenge
Challenge: A young couple with two boys lives in a house in Beverly, MA. Their home is beautiful, but their basement is partially unfinished and could have an asbestos problem. The entire basement will need to be gutted. For this reason, they have been saving for this project for over a year since they first reached out to Total Basement Finishing.
Solution
Solution: The existing space had a bathroom with plumbing, but it needed to be expanded. After remediating the asbestos, we moved the laundry room and installed three shelves in their small storage room. The basement needed a repair to the existing steam radiator, and the original treads were replaced with oak. This left them with a beautiful space well worth the wait.
