A Study For Their Son
Challenge
Challenge: A couple in North Chelmsford live in their house with their adult son. They built the house in 1980, but now that the husband has retired, and spends more time in the home, he wants more space. They have an unfinished basement, but it has very steep stairs, and needs a lot of work to make it a comfortable area.
Solution
Solution: We designed the basement to be used as a living room and study for their son, and to be able to store his hockey equipment. We extended the steps, installed gray MillCreek flooring, and added an EverLast white wall system. We also added a finished linen ceiling. With the equipment moved out of the main area of the house, and more space for their son, the husband had more space for himself as well.
