Blackdog Basements Goes Platinum: Music Room Finishing

Challenge
A couple in Amherst, New Hampshire, have been wanting to add a music room and office into their basement for years. They had scheduled a remodel in 2021, but had to cancel it due to health challenges in their family. Two years later, their family’s health has improved, and they are ready to take on the project once again.
Solution
We started with a black grid and drop ceiling in the music room, adding white LED lights. We added two stud walls with rockwool insulation, and changed the doorknobs on the exterior doors to a Schlage Flair Lever. Finally, we added spray roam under the stair treads to quiet any creaks to give the music room an ideal quiet environment.
