Crafting a Finished Playroom
Challenge
David and Ann are a kind couple who recently retired to their brand-new home in Epping, New Hampshire. Ann is an avid artist who needs more space to craft. She also wants a space where her grandchildren can play in the house and where her art won’t be put at risk. The problem is she only has one free space, and it can’t do both.
Solution
Ann and her husband's basement was a 420-square-foot unfinished room. We finished the basement with a weathertight exterior door, vinyl walls, a drop ceiling, and gray elite plank flooring. They also bought a Sanidry XP to keep the space dry and clean, avoiding mold or mildew that may harm themselves or their grandchildren. The result was a beautiful, simple space that their grandchildren intended to use for years.
