Budget-Conscious Couple Still Able To Get A Great Basement!
Challenge
After getting in contact with our TBF designers and basement finishing specialists, this budget-conscious couple decided that they could actually afford a basement remodel after all, which was desperately needed. They wanted to turn their unfinished space into a family room/office with some clean storage space adjacent to it. Their staircase is also a little tight and asked if we could do anything to help out with that.
Solution
We were happy to take all these requests and were able to complete a very nice basement for this couple on a reasonably small budget. We installed a closet under their staircase, and even though they didn’t want to install flooring we at least had enough leftover wall paneling to finish that aspect for them. We demoed some old wooden shelving to make way for some nice cabinets as additional storage next to the closet for laundry space. As for the rest of the basement, we kept it simple and finished the entire space for them to do whatever they pleased. Some studs were also taken out to make the staircase a little wider. Now they have a clean, dry, and warm space to relax and get some work done from home! Materials used for this project include our vinyl wall panels as well as gray Elite plank flooring.
