Basement Bedroom For Daughter Coming Back From College
Challenge
This homeowner has a couple of daughters, one of which is moving back home after finishing college. They contacted TBF because they wanted to build a separate bedroom and bathroom for her. In time, they want to finish the rest of the basement into a family room, home gym, and a dry storage space. TBF will also be doing that project, but they want to take this large basement one step at a time.
Solution
The older daughter is going to love coming back home to this new bedroom and bathroom. She is going to have her own space that is clean, dry, and quiet, which is going to be extra helpful when bringing another adult into the home. With the installation of an egress window, there will finally be some natural light in the space, which is going to make having a basement bedroom much much more comfortable. We also installed our TBF Paintable wall panels, Elite plank flooring, and a SaniDry XP unit to control the moisture.
