Creating a Versatile Basement with Something for Everybody!
Challenge
There were a lot of different things to do in this basement. The existing space already had a home office, but it needed to be renovated. The rest of the basement was unfinished, and ideally would be turned into a family room, a full bathroom, and an extra-legal bedroom. Mold was also an issue, so that would have to be removed and made sure it would not return. Finally, natural light was sorely lacking, so TBF decided to fix that issue as well.
Solution
The end result was a fantastic-looking basement that was very versatile and catered to everyone in the house, and more. The newly restored office was much more comfortable for the homeowner. Having a child in the house makes it seem much smaller sometimes, and now kids have plenty of space downstairs to run around. It definitely helps for their sake that it is now mold-free. Well-lit as well, thanks to the installation of a stylish egress window to let natural light in. And when the in-laws visit, they have their own bedroom and bathroom for as long as they are staying. Thanks to our TBF wall panels, Elite plank flooring, and a SaniDry XP, this basement now has something for everybody, while being clean, dry, and safe.
