1960's Basement Brought into the Modern Day
Challenge
This basement remodeling was very necessary for these homeowners. Originally done in the 1960s, this basement had extensive mold and mildew damage. Furthermore, the smell of damp and mold was present throughout. Such a state left the entire space unusable, and TBF had a lot of work to do. The existing work had to be demolished to make way for the new. The plan was to transform the space into a pleasant family room to entertain and relax, as well as a bathroom and laundry room. The smell, mold, and mildew had to be eliminated for good as well.
Solution
After the demo of the existing space, the family room, bathroom, and laundry room were constructed with materials like Sanidry to ensure the moisture and mold would be gone for good. A sump pump was installed for good measure. Finished off with a stylish vinyl wall system, this basement was back on the right track and ready to be used to its fullest potential once again.
