Complete Demolition and Design of Basement
Challenge
These homeowners in Waltham wanted a total revamp of their basement, and there were plenty of things that needed to be done. The walls had holes and scrapes in them, the tile floor had many tiles that were cracked, and the whole space smelled of mold and mildew. Both the walls and floors needed to be demolished and replaced.
Solution
To accomplish a complete reset in a basement like this, demolition is always required. The first step in this remodel was taking out the old walls, and ripping up the old flooring along with the tiles. Only then could a new solution be installed that would prevent any mold from growing and any dampness from getting into the basement. Once that was finished, Our contractors installed new walls using our favorite Sanidry XP finishing to prevent mold and moisture. Then came the floor. For this project we installed Espresso Elite Plank flooring to provide a stylish touch that worked with the rest of the basement, and put in new baseboards for a nice finishing touch. Now these homeowners can finally enjoy their basement with peace of mind!
