A Long-Awaited Basement Finish in Winchester
Challenge
A couple in Winchester have been wanting to have their basement finished for a long time now and are so excited to finally be able to get the ball rolling. Although they had the basement partially finished by another company, the job wasn’t completed. Now, we will be working with what they already have in place where we can and adding new materials where they’re needed. Finally, they would like the small amount of space that is completely unfinished to be done.
Solution
The full scope of the project was, on a basic level, one large room and a bathroom. Although the plumbing from the bathroom was already done, we changed the layout of the space and moved it to increase the size of the main room. We began the project by installing our EverLast perimeter wall system in vinyl, adding in all new doors, and building stairs to the exterior main door. Next, we installed our linen ceiling tiles, with a paintable ceiling in the shorter part of the space, and added recessed LED lighting. We used our ThermalDry Elite plank flooring throughout, including in the bathroom, where we reworked the existing washer-dryer setup. This resulted in a large space that is just as functional as it is beautiful.
