An Accessory Dwelling Unit in Dunbarton, New Hampshire
Challenge
A family in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, is having a family friend move into the home. He currently lives several states away, but when he moves, it would be best to finish the apartment. The basement is partially finished but will need a lot of work to be a suitable living space. Their existing basement is two large spaces, which we will reformat to make into a complete suite.
Solution
We are creating an Accessory Dwelling Unit for their friend to live in. We are going to add a kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen will have a stove, dishwasher, and fridge. The bathroom is large enough to keep a washer/dryer and a small closet. We replaced over 200 square feet of the existing ceiling, installed flooring they already had, and replaced two of their windows. We painted the entire space when it was finished, creating a beautiful, cohesive Accessory Dwelling Unit.
