From Mildewed and Moldy to Marvelous
Challenge
A couple with two young children bought a home in Amherst, New Hampshire, just over a year before starting their basement finishing project. In their current space, their basement is regularly mildewed, and they need a new system to remove some of the existing moisture. They also have concerns about some of their existing lally columns, as they may need reinforcing. A majority of their current utilities need to be moved, including their hot water tank and electrical panel.
Solution
We started the project by installing a sump pump, followed by a Sani-Dry XP, which we placed side by side. Next, we moved the utilities to create one large, finished space. Once this was done, we installed our Elite Plank flooring in the color Dark Walnut. We added Linen suspended ceiling panels and our paintable walls. They decided to paint the basement themselves and were both very excited about their new, dry space.
