Elevating Your Work From Home With a Finished Basement
Challenge
A couple have been living in a house in Brookline, New Hampshire, for a few years, but they recently both began working from home. Their house felt large enough when working outside of the home, but now that they’re inside during the day, it’s beginning to feel cramped. They’d like more space for a home office and a sizeable area to entertain when their extended family comes to visit. Although they’re excited about this project, they have family visiting at Thanksgiving and would be very appreciative if the project could be fully completed at that time.
Solution
We finished this client's basement into one large family space, two beautiful officers, and a bathroom. We used our white EverLast wall system, linen ceiling tiles, and Millcreek Natural Oak flooring. The project had two specialty items: primed pine risers on the stairwell leading outside and the second was a dry bar area made up of eight-inch cabinet boxes. At the end of the project, the client was thrilled with their new space. Their favorite parts of the process were that we finished ahead of schedule, the quality, and professionalism.
