Finishing a Unique Space For a Unique House
Challenge
Challenge: A couple living in a condominium in Maynard have their first baby on the way. The condo has a unique design, with the first floor being a large mudroom, and the kitchen, living room and bedroom on the second floor. The husband works from home, and when their baby arrives, working on the same floor as the bedroom may become a challenge. For this reason, they’ve decided to convert their unfinished basement into an office.
Solution
Solution: The project involved modifying three sprinkler heads that weren’t to code, and moving the central VAC to a closet. We added a closet, painted the stairway and doors, and installed a non-paintable wall system. Finally, we added gray ThermalDry flooring, completed the space with time to spare before their baby arrived.
